Crunchy Chick Peas

Sprinkle on a salad or yogurt bowl, mix with nuts to make a trail mix, or just munch on these snackies by themselves!!

I love chick peas! They're pretty cool because they can have many different consistencies and can adapt to most flavors. usually just toss them into my food as they are but this is a much more fun way to eat them!

P.S. Chick peas are also called garbanzo beans. I mention this because someone was oh-so-kind as to pick me up some cans of these guys but stood in the grocery aisle for quite a long time without realizing that chick peas and garbanzo beans are the same thing

I'll use dates (4) or figs (3) and unsweetened coconut flakes in my sweet version

These Chick Pea Snackies can be used in a variety of ways and can be customized to your tastes. If you're a snacker, like myself, these are perfect to have on hand! They have a good amount of protein which will keep you fuller and fiber which will aid in digestion.

This recipe is an awesome alternative to processed snacks. It's great for road trips, kids' lunches, house parties, and delayed dinners....we can all relate to that pre-dinner snacking.

Tiff Tips

  1. For removing the chick pea skins, I find it easiest to rinse them, place them on a paper towel, and lightly rub another paper towel over them. This will remove some of the skins. Then, I lightly pinch the remaining the chick peas to remove the rest

  2. Dry the chick peas as much as possible before cooking

  3. If you want them crunchier, cook for longer at a lower heat and watch them closely
