Pineapple Salsa

Delicious, fresh salsa made with tomatoes and pineapple and seasoned with cilantro, lime, and onion.

Nothing better than fresh, homemade salsa!!

One of my favorite additions to salsa is pineapple! The sweet and tangy flavor of the pineapple mixed with the bold flavor of cilantro makes for a delicious combo. 

This salsa is simple to make by using a blender or food processor. The recipe only calls for 6 ingredients and takes about 15 minutes to throw together. 

You can enjoy this salsa with tortilla chips, veggies, or spread over a taco!



  • 5 cups pineapple (~1 pineapple)

  • 5 cups tomato

  • 1 cup purple onion

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, loosely packed

  • 1/2 lime’s juice

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  1. Remove skin of pineapple and cut flesh into chucks (there will be a core in the center to cut around and throw out)

  2. Using a blender or food processor, pulse pineapple chunks until finely chopped

  3. Transfer blended pineapple to a large bowl

  4. Cut tomatoes into chunks and place in blender or food processor

  5. Pulse tomatoes until finely chopped and then add blended tomatoes to pineapple

  6. Add purple onion to blender or food processor and pulse until finely chopped

  7. Add onion to pineapple and tomatoes

  8. Chop cilantro and add to salsa mixture

  9. Squeeze half a lime’s juice into salsa and add 1/2 tsp salt

  10. Stir salsa mixture together

  11. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!

Refrigerate in sealed container for 7-10 days or freeze for 2-3 months
