Spice Granola

 gluten free, sugar free

I wouldn’t say it’s savory and it’s definitely not sweet…My idea for this recipe was a sugarless granola that still has that warm, fall spice flavor. 

I love having a crunch on foods like smoothies and yogurt or having a crunchy snack around throughout the day but I don’t always want something super sweet. It’s the flavor and texture that I’m really after. 

So, when I went about making this granola, I wanted to make it as minimal as possible. All it took was oats, coconut oil, cinnamon, and nutmeg and it turned out so yummy!!!

And my nephew insisted that his toy Spiderman make his blog debut by jumping into the pretend pile of leaves :) 

If y’all are craving some crunch and fall spice without the sweetness, check this granola out!

makes 1 mason jar

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups oats (use gluten free to make recipe gluten free)

  • 1/4 cup liquid coconut oil

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Mix oats and spices in a medium bowl

  3. Add liquid coconut oil and stir together

  4. Spread granola mixture onto greased baking sheet and place in oven for 10 minutes

  5. Stir mixture and let cook for 15 more minutes

  6. Turn oven off, crack door open, and let completely cool

  7. Remove from oven and enjoy!!

Store in air tight container for up to 1 month
