When the hot, summer sun is shining down, all I'm craving is a cold, refreshing smoothie! A variety of nutrients can be added into smoothies, making them awesome as a snack or a meal.
This smoothie is super versatile so you adapt it to your preferences. I usually include all the add in's and it comes out sweet, thick, and creamy!!
I recently tried out collagen peptides for the first time and I'm loving it so far. I have Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides with Greens. Because it has greens in it, the taste (and smell) is quite strong but mixed with the sweetness of the fruit, I don't even taste it!! Collagen is said to improve skin, nail, and hair health and is also a great source of protein.
(P.S. frozen fruit = thicker smoothie)
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup frozen berries
1 cup dairy free milk (or milk of choice)
2 Tbsp nut butter
1 scoop collagen peptides with greens
2 tsp beetroot powder
1/2 tbsp chia, hemp, and flax seeds
Combing ingredients in a blender and blend until combined
